Plan for Ageki Station area renewal　
　　　　
　　　Hokusei Line was completed in 1910. This is the only 2-1/2ft narrow gauge railroad longer than 10 miles in Japan.
　　　Hokusei Line is electrified with 750V DC. 　We can say this is an interurban railroad in the northernmost region of 
　　　Mie Prefecture. Hokusei Line is between Kuwana City and hokusei Town, approx .14miles.

　　　However there are a few other narrow gauge railroads like Hokusei line in Japan, they are very short or seasonal
　　　operation only.　Hokusei Line have been operated  by Kintetsu, one of the biggest railroad company in Japan.
　　　In Spring 2003, Hokusei Line is to be a part of Sangi Railroad Company.

　　　１．Ageki Station, the terminal is not located in the center of Ageki now. A quarter mile away
　　　from Ageki station, we have ample space to build New Ageki station. This space is ex-Inabe
　　　Kohsei Hospital, which moved a half mile to the west.


　　　　　New Station is beyond the overpass. The road goes up to the town. This arrangement allows
　　　us better access to the hospital and ample space for buses and taxi cabs.

　　　　　Old Ageki Station is to be conserved to represent yesteryears of Hokusei Line.

　　　Old Ageki Station is to be a part of Narrow Gauge Museum. We are on the way to collect old
　　　engines and rolling stocks for display. Some of them are to be in ready-to-run condition.

　　　　　



２．Merry Bell,  pretty tiny train with open air space.

   Merry Bell is the newest narrow gauge train ever built in Japan. It was originally built
　 for Shimotui Railroad in'88. This is an unusually designed train. It is of 3-car consist.
　 Open deck car is in the middle. Also an open front deck with bell is on each end. After
　 only 3 years operation, Shimotui Railroad closed railroad business.

   We are promised to have this train by the courtesy of Shimotui Railroad Company. However
　 this train is stored in a carbarn, it is necessary to overhaul. We plan to rebuild the end
　 cars closed body, because it is cold in winter in this area. Open deck car is to be coupled
　 in summer time only.

３．Old Ageki Station is the entrance of Narrow Gauge Museum. This is the only museum in Japan in that field. 
　　Visitors can enjoy old railroad cars and live steam engines. We are  going to be incorporated with Indonesia
　　government. Agricultural Park with narrow gauge, like this sugar cane railroad can be founded in Ageki area. 
　　Old Ageki Station is to represent the days it was built. A small turntable to rotate the steam engines is to be built.

   　　This is a unique Railroad Museum to welcome visitors from foreign countries.
