Lonely Japan
A picture of the world with Japan showing
and planes, ships and men all heading for Japan.
Text
(Retranslated from Japanese)
In any country the authorities decide all important matters.
Soldiers are educated and trained to follow their orders and devote
their entire effort to performing their duties. But what happens
if their leaders give out a wrong order? Isn't it true that on
such a mistake may hang not only the individual soldier's fate but
even the welfare of the country?
The result of the mistakes committed by the militarists has
become so obvious that it is beyond the slightest doubt.
The leaders knew very well that if they alone embarked on
war against both England and America, there was no chance of
victory.
For this very reason they went into the adventurous military
alliance with Germany and Italy. They thought that while Italy
and Germany were fighting the Allies , drawing enemy strength
in Europe, the enemy strength opposing Japan would be very
small.
But what has happened? Italy crumbled sometime ago, and
Allied troops are on German soil.
Japan now faces a crisis, in which the full strength of the
Allied nations will soon be concentrated against her. Does she
not feel lonely?
