I took two (2) weeks holidays in Japan from middle of June 2008.
The first pipe (ring) was delivered to the erection site on June 19 and installed at the position for Lane 2 on next day. Installation of Lane 1 started on July 04.
Current conditions of progress of construction works at powerhouse on July 11, 2008 is as shown below.
Unit No. 1is seen at the rightest position of the above photo. Diameter of the penstock installed is about 9.6 meters. The white crawler crane of DEMAG2800 was applied to launch the penstock
Transportation of penstock was conducted as shown below.
