About "CAR SNEAKERS GRIP"

I bought BS G-GRIDs at the secondhand wheels and tires shop "GRIP" in May, 1999, which did look like very new!

Pulsar was not my own car but my father's although it was a good one. So I decided to buy a new car because I thought I could afford it in the situation that I had worked for more than 2 years. My requirements for that are as below;

• 4-door
• 4WD
• Kind of fast

Then, I picked up three; Familia, Gemini (ISUZU), and Sunny (NISSAN). I wanted the one with turbo charger so I had selected Familia and Gemini of the three, and finally I decided to buy Familia that would be brought to me earlier than Gemini, which I would have to wait for 3 months. Theskiing seasonwould have passed!

I have never driven Gemini, but it was my better selection to buy Familia, because it was just"kind of fast"and was easy for me to handle. I never felt any stress even when I climbed up on express way with four people and skiing materials, and also, I could drive as fast as I fear, with full acceleration by the 2nd speed.

I knew very few kinds of parts for Familia were on the market. Even for mufflers, just a few manufacturers had brought. I got the air clearner by mail order shopping from a garage in Chiba, which knew very well about modifying Familia.

I had drove it 80,000 km for 8 years until August, 1999. Just thinking that we might have to buy another one soon after having got married and the terrible T-Dino been born, Familia had suddenly gone away from us. When I was on it with my family, on a road with one lane each, and waiting for a green signal before the corner, suddenly a shock came to us with a big sound! It was that a stupid car that was running away from the police cars crushed into the right rear side of my car by trying to pass through. The stupid went away while I was thinking what happened, and a few police cars followed. Fortunately, it was OK with my family and myself, however, Familia had got big scratches on the right side and a bent suspension...
