We had to buy it not taking so much days because our former Familia has crashed with another car driven by some stupid guy. We had two other cars to compare with RVR; SUBARU Legacy recommended by PAPA and NISSAN Prairie Liberty recommended by MAMA. But finally, we took the middle of them.
Why only with AT? Why not MT? PAPA is dissatisfied with it very much! I hope it had 5-speed at least, although MITSUBISHI Legnum has 5-speed... I regret not having bought "Sport Gear X3" that is the upper grade with MT to save \200,000. *Now, unfortunately, even X3 does not have MT... When I asked MITSUBISHI if we could exchange the AT to MT, they said that it was possible but would cost as much as we could buy another new car.
One of MAMA's favorites is the slide door, which is very useful to get the T-Dino on and off especially at a parking with little space for each car. And another point she likes is a rear seats, which do not have so big space for the width but has enough space for feet. Without a child seat on it, it could slide to front and rear, but we have to wait for the kid's growth. For a bad point, the floor is too high to sit on the seat comfortably.
Regarding the muffler, the replacement is too noisy! It is with a silencer in it, but not so efficient. I'm sorry, our neighbors! But anyway, I think that it has made the response a bit better with the combined effect of the replacement of the air cleaner. Regarding the braking hose and the pads, I have got a better feeling. The normal braking system for RVR is too poor for the heavy body that weighs more than 1.5t, so after the exchanges, I can feel easier as well. The steering wheel (see the left photo), which was from Lancer Evolution V, has an original air bag of MITSUBISHI and can be exchanged as it is. I like the red stitches and the smaller diameter than the original one for RVR. *Be careful! Without taking out the connector of the battery, the air bag might go off when you try to exchange your steering wheel!
Anyway, basically, it was a good car.
1) INVECS-II
While using Sport Mode, the shift is up with no operating. It may be from failure of the connection, so repaired by replacing some parts of the inside. Free of charge.
2) Curtain
The curtain is fixed by tape but not strongly, so easily out of the wall. Re-fixed by stapler but not drawing attention at all. Free of charge.
Look at the sticker on the rear glass! I got it from "Runners", which is the web site that we can talk anything about RVR. Actually, I got the information about the steering wheel for Lancer Evolution V. Not only we have official meetings several times a year, but also have smaller ones with neighbors.
Welcome to RVR RUNNERS Page.
