When we got many troubles with the previous car NISSAN Bluebird, I pushed my father, and finally let him buy the new car. I had the nerve to have the leadership to select the car for my family by negotiating with car dealers. NISSAN Pulser, MAZDA Familia, MITSUBISHI Mirage, and HONDA Civic were on my list, which were all sedans of sporty grade. Finally, of Pulser and Familia (BF type) GT selected with our budget, we decided to buy Pulser by the price and my attachment for NISSAN! Of course, I had got my family's permission before that.
DOHC Engine
The red head cover of the engine looked nice. It was an extremely high revolution type as the maximum torque was made at 5,200rpm. I forgot the beginning of the red zone, but 0-9,000rpm on the revolution meter. But I was not aware of the real value soon, and before that, I had only thought "DOHC" sounded good. I did not have no idea when the above H said,
"You should sometimes revolve the engine to the red zone, or you couldn't do so later."
I hope I could drive this car on a circuit.
Getting a Job and the Car
I got a job and moved to Tochigi Pre. alone in the second year of the car. Public transportation had been still developing there, so individual cars were main way to move. Some homes have a car for each person instead of for each home. My office was also in the countryside to get only by car, and that means the company tried to make me buy a car myself. So I took the Pulser there that should belong to my father. My family bought used NISSAN Langley after that. I am sorry...
Driving Long Distances
I sometimes joined a traveling circle with Pulser, and in the winter, often went to ski by it, so I had a lot of times to drive long distances, also sometimes on the snowy road. They certainly made my techniques on driving better. My best memory of them is a driving in the midnight just after getting the car. After the classes in the university, asked by H and another guy, we drove all the night from Hachioji through Kofu, Gotenba, Odawara, Shibuya, Takashimadaira, and back to Hachioji. They said, finding my music tape by Noda Mikiko who is a Japanese pop singer,
"Who's this?"
No problem with you even though you did not know her.
Knocking with the Engine
I am not sure since when, but knocking had occurred from the engine as stepping on the gas. I do not know why. I suspect that one of the reasons is that I forced to climb uphill roads by 3rd speed. Anyway, I knew fewer things than now so I had handled it without any cares.
After That
I decided to get back Pulser to my family and to buy a new car because Langley would have a regular checking. Pulser, that had once come back to my family, was taken by my brother that got a job and left my family, and was disposed after his having for several years without going to other people. At its latter time, I heard that the powered window could not be shut in the mid-winter, so packing tape was put on the space.
